El Almacén
About This Spot
Walking into El Almacén feels like stepping into a cherished corner of Argentina tucked away in the heart of Las Palmas. This intimate spot, with just a handful of small tables, moves at a gentle, unhurried rhythm where the focus quietly falls on genuine connection — between guests, the friendly staff, and the food itself. It’s the kind of place where the warmth isn’t only in the ingredients but in the welcome, and where familiar faces mix seamlessly with newcomers drawn by whispers of authentic flavors.
The atmosphere here is relaxed and personal, thoughtfully unpretentious. It’s not a bustling beachfront tourist hub, but rather a humble, deeply food-oriented haven where time feels just a little slower, allowing you the space to savor each bite and the company around you. The owner’s presence — often greeting guests with a smile and a handshake — reinforces the sense of belonging rather than simply being served.
The menu at El Almacén invites you to explore the richness of Argentinian culinary traditions through dishes that feel homemade, like a story shared around the table. From tender cuts of vació to handmade empanadas, and subtle touches like the house chimichurri or creamy desserts, everything is crafted with care and respect for the ingredients. Alongside genuine Argentinian wines and artisanal touches, the meal becomes more than food; it’s a warm invitation to experience a piece of another culture without leaving the city.
What stands out most is the feeling that here you are not just a visitor but a welcomed guest — someone whose presence brings a human moment to a place that values the act of sharing. It’s no surprise that many who discover El Almacén leave carrying not just the memory of exquisite flavors, but a sense of having found a small refuge where hospitality and heart quietly meet.

Very authentic Argentinian restaurant. The is quite small, I think 5-6 small tables so a booking is recommended. We had empanadas, churrasco and vació, all very good.

A wonderfully small steak house. The owner is friendly and helpful, the food was superb. Possibly my best meal in Las Palmas. Strong recommendations

Nice surprise ???????????????????????? Lovely small, authentic Restaurant close to the beach - but thankfully not on the beach front. This guarantees a customer oriented, a food oriented real restaurant. You wish to eat well? Go there! You wish to feel like a person and not like faceless tourist: welcome . The Patron welcomes you with a handshake, a hearty smile and …. when you come back, he actually remembers you. We had different pastries for a starter and share a steak afterwards. Recommendation of the chef were perfect for us. Evening ended with big hugs Absolutely recommended nice add-on: the guests who share the table with us were absolutely divine British couple and we had a memorable evening with them

I recently visited this restaurant and had an amazing experience. The meat was delicious perfectly cooked and full of flavor. What really made the visit special was the one staff member working there. They were incredibly friendly, very service oriented and took the time to give us great suggestions for things to do around Las Palmas. The restaurant is also located in a cozy and charming spot which added to the overall experience. Great food, a warm atmosphere, and outstanding personal service highly recommended!

Sometimes long reviews are needed, but this time I'll be very short - it was WOW! 10 out of 10* The best gastronomic and service experience in a while. Grazias, amigo!

We came by El Almacen twice only to find it not only full but with a queue. Finally on our last night in Las Palmas we arrived and were able to be seated right away! Worth the wait. Provoletta was awesome. Best darn steak on Gran Canaria (and we tried MANY). Bottle of Malbec to complete the Argentinian experience for 17 euro. Geraldo is amazing and energetic - he’s an absolute delight! We’ll be back when we return to Gran Canaria!!

Very small and nice place , a mix of bakery and bar. The empanadas are tasty I didn’t like the Stuffed Basket, but the steak with three pepper sauces is really good. Staff is friendly too.

Real food and tasty, exellent service. Small space, so it's full fast. Waiting is worth of.
